If you’re like me, you’ll eat ice cream any day of the week, no matter what time of year or how many feet of snow are piling at your door.

Whether it’s Ben & Jerry’s, Haagen Dazs, President’s Choice, or Summer’s, there isn’t really a lack of choices in the ice cream department. However, as the saying goes, there can never be enough choice. In particular, there can never be enough quality choices, and Mississauga store shelves are about to become home to another quality option.

Halo Top Creamery is an American ice cream brand that was founded in 2012 and, rather shockingly, became the best-selling pint in 2017! That means the young company actually beat Ben & Jerry’s and all other brands. I don’t know about you but I’m excited to try it!

Halo Top Creamery is currently sold in Australia, Ireland, Mexico, Singapore, and the U.K, as well as the States, and it will hit store shelves here in Canada in early March.

What really makes Halo Top Creamery stand out is that it is healthy! Yes that’s right, healthy ice cream. The company’s pints are low-fat, low-calorie, low-sugar, high-protein and still tastes like regular ice cream. For example, Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough flavour contains 1,150 calories for a pint, whereas Halo Top’s Cookie Dough contains a mere 360! You can find a more extensive breakdown of the comparisons with other brands on the company website.

If all of that didn’t sound enticing enough, Halo Top Creamery also offers dairy-free options, meaning you can eat ice-cream if you’re lactose-intolerant, or if you’re just on a diet and want to feel guilt-free! Here is the list of flavours the brand is bringing to the Great White North:

  • Vanilla Bean
  • Chocolate
  • Mint Chip
  • Peanut Butter Swirl
  • Cookies & Cream
  • Sea Salt Caramel
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  • Caramel Macchiato
  • Pancakes & Waffles
  • Oatmeal Cookie
  • Birthday Cake
  • Candy Bar

Personally, I can’t wait to try Pancakes & Waffles, as well as Candy Bar and the classic Birthday Cake. Let us know what flavours you’d going to be scoffing down when Halo Top Creamery hits shelves next month!
