How to Maximize a Mississauga Mall Visit

We have all been to at least one or two of Mississauga’s favourite malls. Whether it be for holiday shopping, a last minute errand or even to escape the heat during the summer, malls are handy. Here is a Best of Mississauga – Mall Edition of services and offerings to take advantage of to make your next shopping trip even better.

According to the City of Mississauga, the average household income, as recorded in 2010, is $95052. That is approximately $10000 higher than the provincial average and about $15000 more than the national average. It can be assumed that some of the money earned is spent in malls.

At a bare minimum, all malls have an information desk, sell mall-wide gift cards and offer wheel chairs to assist those that may need it. It is impressive to see what some malls offer beyond the basics.

Square One – 100 City Centre Drive

The mothership of all malls in the Mississauga area is Square One Shopping Centre. They have extended weekend hours, staying open until 9pm on Saturdays and 7pm on Sundays. Their website offers live chat for those on the fly and not able to visit one of their information desks. Valet parking is available so parking lot headaches can be avoided. If staying connected is a crucial part of your shopping experience, then they offer cell phone chargers.

Erin Mills Town Centre – 5100 Erin Mills Parkway

Wifi is available throughout the mall to ensure shoppers can alwways stay connected. Vehicle battery died? No problem, because Erin Mills Town Centre is able to offer minor vehicle assistance. Their guest services kiosk is always a wealth of transit and local Mississauga events information.

Dixie Outlet Mall – 1250 South Service Rd

In addition to the standard services offered by most malls, Dixie Outlet Mall has two features that really stand out. Walking indoors, especially during inclement weather can be done through their Mall Walker’s program. And how about a group tour? Experience a day full of bargain shopping here with a complimentary Welcome Package. Bookings must be made in advance for this service.
