Mississauga is renowned for its diversity in culture and with that diversity comes an army of food options.
From fine-dining restaurants to diners that have been around for years, Mississauga has more food options than you could shake a stick at. Really you could choose just about any village in the city and find a handful of great eateries that would be worth your time and money. Today however, we want to take a look at one of the very finest in the city.
Peter’s on Eglinton is a restaurant/deli that has been serving the community for years and years. Peter’s is an established food joint that has gotten a name for its delicious foods with gargantuan proportions.
Beyond the casual, friendly atmosphere that permeates the diner, one of the firs things you’ll notice is the size of the menu; most bars and restaurants have a menu of 3-4 pages, which includes a drinks page. Peter’s menu is 6 pages long, before you even reach the drinks!
For breakfast you can grab yourself one of their signature omelettes, which all come with four fluffy eggs, potatoes and toast. All omelettes are available for $11.95 and well worth the price!
From here you can grab yourself some souvlaki, halibut, lasagna, veal parmigiana, or a 10 oz New York sirloin steak, among many other options for the main course. Many of the main course options will set you back upwards of $30 but the portions you receive would easily be enough for two people.
One of the most popular food options at Peter’s is their deli menu. Whether you opt for one of the stacked meat sandwiches, a reuben, a regular sandwich, or a hot sandwich that comes slathered in gravy, you are guaranteed a massive portion that more than justifies the price tag.
If none of that appeals to you for some bizarre reason, you can grab a burger, a hot dog, or one of their delicious desserts, all of which are under $10. And of course you can top it all off with a nice beverage.
Peter’s on Eglinton is one of the most popular diners in all of Mississauga and it’s easy to see why. With a plethora of food options, all of which come in portions that will make your jaw hit the floor, and for a reasonable price to boot, Peter’s will remain an one of the hottest restaurants in Mississauga.
