La Castile is one of Mississauga’s longest-running restaurants and has been voted #1 in the city for steaks and group functions.

La Castile is befitting of the name, as a venue that looks like a Victorian-era castle. It’s a beautiful space that evoke class and quality. Just read the description from the official website to get an idea of what the space feels like:

In a setting that is fresh out of centuries past, you will dine in the magnificence that is singularly La Castile’s. Stepping into an area that seats up to 240 people the majesty of a triple tier dining room will leave you breathless. Enormous chandeliers, huge cross beam ceiling timbers, massive wood railings and flowing stairways that lead to all dining levels combine to create a distinctive dining experience steeped in tradition.

Yes the majestic restaurant has been serving up to 240 patrons for a day for over 30 years! The design is amazing and the food is equal. If you want the finest dining experience that Mississauga has to offer, I feel La Castile is the option for you!

La Castile offers an extensive dinner menu that has been specialised and perfected over the years. From appetisers and soups, to steaks and seafood, as well as lunch entrees and salads, La Castile has one of the finest menus in the GTA.

As far as appetisers go, Shrimp Tempura, Smoked Salmon, Calimari, Oysters Rockerfeller, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops are among the best on offer. My personal recommendation however is the Barbecued Rib Starter, a far cry from your average rib meal.

The steak menu at La Castile is incredible; the prices are expectedly high but you get what you pay for at this established restaurant. The simple but amazing 26oz. T-Bone Steak is a great option, or you can go for a Filet Mignon, Steak Neptune, Roast Prime Rib, Charbroiled Lamb Chops, Veal Parmesan, or the Chateaubriand For Two. The cheapest of those dishes will swing for $30, while the Chateaubriand For Two will cost $99! However, bear in mind this is an upscale restaurant and the food and service are worth the price tag.

As for the seafood, La Castile’s Platter for Two is the most expensive option on the entire menu and will set you back a whopping $160. However the dish consists of filet mignon, scallops, crab legs, shrimp, lobster tails, all surrounded by steamed vegetables. So while it costs a huge amount, the dish itself is extensive, probably even for two people alone.

Beyond that insane dish, La Castile also offers Alaskan King Crab Legs, Whole Atlantic Live Lobster, Steak & Scallops, or the Fresh Fish Catch of the Day! Any of these options will satiate your desire for fish and all cost a pretty penny. Not only do the dishes taste exquisite though, the presentation is equally remarkable.

Naturally, a fine dining experience like La Castile wouldn’t be complete without an extensive wine menu. With 13 white wines, 23 red wines, and a wide selection of vintage wines, La Castile definitely has something for everyone across a spectrum of prices. To top everything off, La Castile also offers a choice of 7 incredible Champagnes to help celebrate whatever birthday, anniversary, promotion, retirement, Valentine’s Day, you’re visiting for.

La Castile has been around for over 30 years, serving the good people of Mississauga some of the finest food in the land. As the old saying goes, the cream always rises to the top, and there’s a reason La Castile has stood the test of time. If you’ve never been, I recommend you try La Castile at least once for a dining experience you won’t forget anytime soon. Bon appetit.
