Enjoy Public Skating at Vic Johnston Community Centre

Fresh ice, newly sharpened blades, and the sweet smell of hot chocolate… there’s just nothing better than that first skate of the season. Lucky for you the Vic Johnston Community Centre (335 Church St.) has a beautiful indoor rink that opens up for free their public skate on Sunday, December 17th.

Skating is a great way to get some exercise in an otherwise sluggish time of year, not to mention there’s a certain entertainment value in watching your friends’ epic falls and crashes while you shred those calories.

The Vic Johnston Community Centre, located in the Village of Streetsville, began the regular Public Skating season in October and times are from 1 – 2:30pm.

Admission prices are adults and children $4, family $10, and seniors are free.

The Centre offers a great birthday party package utilizing a party room, ice skating and food service all under one roof in conjunction with the Public Skating session.

Call 905-826-3011 for details.

In addition, Thursday afternoons Parents, Preschoolers and Senior’s skate from 12:30- 2 pm and admission is free. This skate is designed for parents with preschool aged kids under 6 (all children must be accompanied on the ice with a parent) and seniors.
