On Sunday, December 3, in Erin Mills the Mississauga Santa Claus parade will take to the streets.  That’s when Jolly Old Saint Nick is expected to gather all the merry-makers and march down Glen Erin Drive and then along Motorway Boulevard before coming to a stop on Woodchester Drive.

This year’s Santa’s parade is shaping up to be quite the holiday spectacle for both kids and adults alike.  It will stroll for more than a kilometer across the City, with about 40 colourful floats and many marchers and bands following Mississauga’s Christmas VIP in a sleigh.  And as if that’s not enough, there will be costumed characters, jugglers and other entertainment.

Mississauga News is hosting this year’s visit by Saint Nick, in partnership with the Erin Mills Auto Centre.  “We wanted to provide the parade as it’s an event that brings the whole city together and who better to do so than the News, which has deep roots in the community,” said Gautam Sharma, director of advertising with the Mississauga News and Brampton Guardian.

By the way, anyone who is writing to Santa this year, should bring their letter to the parade, and give it to the many Mississauga news carriers who will be on site.  These trusted carriers will ensure that the letters are mailed to the North Pole asap!

The Mississauga Santa parade starts at 12:30 on Sunday, December 3 in Erin Mills on Glen Erin Drive, makes its way along Motorway Boulevard and ends two hours later at the Woodchester Drive auto centre.  To offer a festive and community-minded finish to the parade, many of the participating car dealerships will have their doors open to welcome everyone with complimentary drinks and snacks.  Looks like this Mississauga event promises to be a perfect holiday outing for the whole family!
