What do you love more? Food or festivals? Well why not experience both in one day?!
That’s right, The Food Truck’N Festival is back at Celebration Square next week! For those unfamiliar, this is an event that originated in Toronto but made its way to Mississauga this year for the first time. If the name wasn’t a giveaway, essentially the Food Truck’N Festival is a series of food trucks that offer a diverse array of foods.
The festival has been taking place in Mississauga since May this year, and it has been a big success since. People from across the city have taken the time to stop off at Celebration Square for some delicious eats.
Well, the festival returns on Friday, August 23rd, for its penultimate run at Celebration Square. The last time the festival parked at Square One was July 12th. At that time the trucks in attendance were The Arepa Republic (Venezuelan food, including empanadas), Crepe Street, Pimento Jerk (Jamaican BBQ), Alijandro’s Kitchen (Middle Eastern/Mexican food), The Kathi Roll Express (Indian cuisine), Mustache Burger (100% Canadian burgers), and Bang Bang Burrito.
As of now, we don’t have any information as to what trucks will be appearing when they roll into Celebration Square again next week. Often the trucks are changed in and out, so don’t be surprised if the list looks radically different. However it is guaranteed to be a great mixture of cultures as well as sweet and savoury.
This is your second to last chance to experience the festival, with it returning in early September, and then it is gone. Your attendance may ensure that the festival returns in 2020 however, so be sure to come to Celebration Square on Friday, August 23 and experience some unique cuisine that you definitely won’t be able to get your teeth on anywhere else in the city.
