It’s no secret that the Coronavirus pandemic has had a massive, detrimental effect on local businesses the world over. Far too many small, independent businesses have been shuttered or had to fire staff members just in order to survive. It was something nobody could have foreseen having such a big affect throughout 2020, and the rest of this year is going to be spent trying to recover from it.
To try and aid such a recovery, the Village of Streetsville has launched an awesome new website that compiles most of its local stores and businesses into one greatly designed website, meaning you can buy everything and anything you might need without leaving your home! Here’s a little about the site from those who created it:
In an effort to save local business, the Streetsville BIA has created an online Ecommerce Marketplace that will allow its members to sell their products on one easy to use platform while also being able to promote their individual shops.
Streetsvillebia.com is a brilliant site that pulls together electronics and entertainment stores with beauty, fashion, pharmacies, home decor, and even fast food. And it’s not just goods and food you can buy, the site also has services like Mr. Rooter Plumbing, clinics, and more. There are dozens of retailers available on the site, including The Tea Room, Kate’s Town Talk Bakery, Queen Printing Centre, Ladner’s Clothiers, and Culture Rising.
The site is incredibly easy to use and intuitive, and even showcases sales that are happening at the individual stores. If you want to ensure your local businesses stay a part of the Streetsville community, then use the site instead of the likes of Amazon. The Streetsville BIA has done a great job launcing the app as quickly as it did and we can’t recommend it enough!
