The restrictions are easing and the world is returning to some semblance of normality. Recently we’ve wrote about where you can get curbside take-out in Mississauga, but one thing was sorely lacking from that list was pizza.
Pizza is a staple of most people’s diets, but, like most things, it’s had to have taken a back seat in the past few months. Many of us have felt uncomfortable leaving our homes to go get fast food, but it’s possible to order some pizza and pick it up. Check out these four options you can get right now!
Marconi Pizza is a brand that has proudly existed for over 50 years and serves us with uncompromising quality. The shop can be found in the corner of the the Cawthra and Burnhamthorpe plaza, and it’s well worth travelling for. Marconi offers pasta, panzarotti, sandwiches, wings, salads, and yes, incredible pizza. We recommend the Greek (black olive, diced tomato, feta cheese, and garlic).
Located at 5980 Churchill Meadows Boulevard is the independent, family-owned J.P’s Pizzeria. The fine folks at J.P’s prides themselves on making high-quality, authentic Italian pizza, and it’s one of Mississauga’s best hidden gems. You can get classics like the Hawaiian, Meat Lovers, Canadian, Bruschetta, or the J.P’s Favourite. The brand also offers lots of great deals and bundles, so you can get some good bang for your buck.
There are two Goodfella’s locations in Mississauga, one at 50 Burnamthorpe Road near Square One, and the original store at 209 Queen Street South. These restaurants offer authentic Neopolitan Pizza which you can normally watch being cooked. And while you can’t salivate while watching your pizza cook these days, you can order it for pick-up and get some of the very best the city has to offer.
Our final option for getting some pizza for pick-up is certainly the most unique. Just a few weeks ago, PizzaForno opened a vending machine at 7300 Dixie Road where you can literally order and get piping hot, fresh pizza from a machine. And don’t worry, the pizza’s are handmade and delivered to the machine, which is essentailly a giant oven that cooks your options to perfection. Weird as this may seem, it is perfect for a post-COVID19 world and certainly a sign of things to come.
