We’ve talked a little bit about Michael’s Back Door before but it’s a fairly under-the-radar restaurant that needs to be brought to light. Even though Michael’s has been a Clarkson staple for almost three decades!
Michael’s is tucked away in an alleyway of Clarkson but it’s more than worth seeking out; pop in for lunch and grab yourself a plate of their fantastic pasta, or maybe an Atlantic salmon, and I guarantee you’ll be back before long.

Aielli Ristorante is located along Lakeshore Road East, not far outside of Port Credit, and is named after the small town in Italy that the owners have migrated from.
Aielli has served the Mississauga community for over 35 years! The restaurant has become known for it’s lengthy menu of authentic Italian dishes and incredible wine selection. Aielli is fine dining at it’s…erm…finest. The plates might be pretty pricey but if you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

What kind of list would this be if it didn’t include a true pizza joint?! Well, Papa Giuseppe’s is one of the very best in all of the GTA.
Papa Giuseppe’s is one of the newer restaurants on this list but it’s an incredible popular venue for denizens of Port Credit and beyond. The stone oven pizza on offer is some of the best in the city, accompanied with natural greens and the finest cheeses. Papa’s also serves pasta’s, salads, desserts, sandwiches and more.

Scaddabush is a new twist on traditional Italian cuisine, bringing the classics into the 21st century. “Style without attitude”.
Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar is located in the heart of the city and offers an extensive menu of pizza, pasta, sandwiches, steak, and even some great seafood. To make that sound even better, I can tell you that Scaddabush even makes their mozarella, sauces, pasta, meatballs, and more, by hand, every day! This place is all about the food and fun, so come see for yourself.

Solstice Restaurant & Wine Bar (Named for the Day they immigrated to Canada in the Summer of 1986) opened in Clarkson Village in 2005 and quickly became one of the very best Italian restaurants in all of Mississauga.
Consistently excellent is a phrase that you will often see in reviews of Solstice Restaurant and it shows when you find yourself in the beautiful space. The food is fantastic, with some of the most impressive presentation you will see anywhere, and the wine list is massive. If it’s traditional Italian dining you’re after, Solstice is hard to beat. Solstice also has a larger private dining room that seats over 90 people.
