New businesses open every single week here in the city, so it’s hardly a surprise when a new one opens its doors. However, it is noteworthy when a brand new type of business opens, one that doesn’t already exist.

And with that, I’m happy to tell you that a gaming cafe has officially opened in Mississauga!

Domics GG! Gaming Cafe opened its doors in late April and, as you can see in the picture below, it was a pretty popular destination on opening day!

So what exactly is GG! Gaming Cafe? Well I’m glad you asked, it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a place for friends to come and play games, drink tea and coffee, and socialise. Here’s the description of the cafe from the owners themselves:

GG! Gaming Café is a space for friends and family to enjoy each other’s company while playing cooperative or competitive board games. Help yourself to one of our share platters, tasty teas or delectable coffees.

Backed by loveable local YouTube star, Domics, the café embodies cooperative play and positive outreach; we believe in equal opportunity, collaboration, and wholesome fun. A safe place where people can come to learn classic board games or new ones.

Come and enjoy through the day and late night. We here are GG! Gaming Café welcome (and encourage) all to be your weird nerdy little self.

The cafe welcomes groups of any size, and you can play for as long as you want for just $7. You can play any and all board games you like, however the main attraction is – and has been since 1974 – Dungeons & Dragons. If that isn’t your style though, you can play Monopoly, Cards Against Humanity, Harry Potter Clue, or any number of games you might be interested in.

Considering it’s also a cafe, GG!’s also offers a plethora of food and drink, fries, waffle bites, churro’s, cookies and milk, or winner winner karaage dinner – which is fittingly named after Player Unknown Battlegrounds top prize. You can also grab a number of teas and coffees to keep you playing at peak potential. So if you gave a group of friends you’d like to play some games with, or in need of some such friends, come on out to Domic’s GG! Gaming Cafe and I promise you’ll want to return!
