Mississauga’s Celebration Square has many attractions and one of the main features are their Big Screens. Touted as “state of the art outdoor LED” they are used to “enhance events such concerts, festivals, share information with the public” and more which were stated in the three previous editions of the Big Screen Series. These uses include:

Showcase screen based and interactive artwork

Part 1 – Art

Play Video Games

Part 2 – Gaming

Provide a place for a new lunch/ dining experience

Part 3 – Lunch

Part 4 in the Series caters to sports fans, in Mississauga, Toronto, and even the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), and not even sports fans, just people who want to interact and be a part of something. Have you seen pictures of “Jurassic Park” in downtown Toronto, where thousands of Toronto Raptor fans gather – especially during playoff time – to support the home town team and wonder what it would like to be there in person? What that experience would actually be like?

At the celebration square whether you’re a fan of the Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto FC or the Toronto Argonauts, you can have that similar experience without having to go downtown. The screens at the Square provide an opportunity to bring the community together to cheer on their hometown teams, at the same time and at the same place.

The City of Mississauga wants you to know that the “large format screens, along with the amenities of the Celebration Square, provide a comfortable and fun experience to watch your favourite sporting event”.

So what more do you need? HD LED Screens? Check. A great environment? They’ve got it. A chance to celebrate a championship or any other historic sporting event with friends, family and even strangers all rooting towards the same goal? Then come on down to the Square any time there’s a “big game” and experience it all.
