Summer may be over at this point – I know, we’re sad too – but that doesn’t mean the good times are over. In fact, that’s the beautiful thing about Mississauga; the good times never end!
And that’s why today we’re here to tell you about the next big event happening, one that celebrates one of the world’s most prominent cultures, and it’s taking place this weekend!
On Saturday, September 10th, Celebration Square will play host to the Chinese Dragon Lion Dance Festival. The 2019 iteration of the festival will run from 10 AM to 9 PM and be a fun-filled day for the whole family. Check out the official event description below:
Great Event for all ages – filled with fruitful entertainment and delicious foods, you will experience the magnificent parade of the Chinese Dragon & Lion Dance, Kung Fu Panda, Tai Chi and martial arts, array of Chinese style art performances. There will be kids areas, where children can enjoy free play time, as well as free dancing and martial art demonstrations for you to explore! Don’t miss this once a year event for enjoying the great summer weekend and exploring Chinese tradition, culture, arts and foods!
The Dragon Lion Dance Festival is a wonderful celebration of all things China. And that means you can watch the famous dragon parade, learn lots about Chinese culture, hear traditional Chinese music, witness incredible entertainment and displays like Muay Thai and dancing, and, of course, eat amazing, authentic delicacies.
If you’re part of Mississauga’s vast Asian community, or eager to learn more and experience a unique event, then you have to come to Celebration Square on Saturday for the Dragon Lion Dance Festival.
