Halloween is fast approaching and the always-reliable Celebration Square is hosting a timely event for the whole family, especially those with a nose for science.

This year, Celebration Square will be the site to the Halloween Lab! It’s a scientific spin on the traditional experience, but one your kids will love no less. You can read more about the Halloween Lab here:

The experiments have taken over the lab! Join us at Halloween Lab for an afternoon of science shows, hands on experiments and, of course, candy and costumes galore.

Spin! Pop! Boom!
Shows at 12:45pm and 2:00pm

This thrilling performance will explore a combination of chemistry and physics with a spooktacular twist. Audiences will be amazed by our colour change demonstration. Children will be awed as the Mad Scientist creates an extra hand to help with our experiments. Children will witness a number of exothermic reactions that will produce a Genie Out of a Bottle and a Giant Foam Snake. The fundamental forces of planet Earth will be summoned as the Mad Scientist turns a glass of water upside-down without spilling a drop. We will also challenge the odds with a bungee jumping glass bottle.

Kids will be able to partake in science experiments that include slime, silly putty, dry ice, UV Beads, and lots more. It’s a fun and safe way for kids to experience a very different kind of Halloween. Yet there will be still be scares and sweets, which is all they really care about at the end of the day.

If you’re interested in coming along, you have to pay the entry fee of $0. That’s right, the Halloween Lab is free for everyone. The big event takes place on Saturday October 26th, from 12-3 PM. Costumes are encouraged, so if your child fancies themselves the next Einstein or Curie, be sure to get them all dressed up and bring them along to the Halloween Lab!
