O.K, compose yourself. Yes, the rumours are true, Eva’s Original Chimney’s is officially open in Port Credit!!
The store finally opened its doors on Saturday June 16, after months of renovating and teasing us with its covered-up windows. In even better news, Eva’s will be open from 12 AM – 11 PM each day, except for Friday’s and Saturday’s, when it stays open until midnight.
If you’re unfamiliar with Eva’s Original Chimney’s, you’re in for a heck of a treat. Would you believe me if I told you that Eva’s completely reinvented the ice cream cone? Made all other regular ice cream cones pale in comparison? Well that’s exactly what Eva’s does.
So what is an Eva’s Original Chimney? “Known as Kürtöskalács in Hungarian or Trdelník in Czech, Chimney Cakes are unique, bread-like freshly baked Hungarian pastries, named after their hollow, cylindrical shape. They have a satisfying crunch on the outside and a delicious, light and fluffy dough on the inside.” That perfect description via the official Eva’s website can’t even do the things justice, you have to try it for yourself to understand.
You can grab an original Chimney Cone, Chimney Cake, or ChimDog. Each of these options are incredible and more than worth the $10 average price tag. Personally I recommend the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Chimney Cone but honestly they’re all great.
Eva’s has finally arrived in Port Credit and immediately becomes the go-to destination for all your sweet-tooth cravings in the town. So while you’re out for the weekend, taking a stroll by the lakefront, be sure to stop in and try the very best ice cream cone money can buy!
