Summer may be over but that’s no reason to stay indoors! Fall is the most beautiful time of year and the Riverwood Conservancy is hosting their annual hike on Saturday October 21, at 9 AM.
The Riverwood Conservancy is a beautiful natural park in the heart of Mississauga, located between Erin Mills and Square One Shopping Centre.
The hike begins at 9 AM and everyone is asked to meet in the main parking lot. Once you arrive you will meet the Conservancy leaders, Trisha Kluge and Marilyn Hurst, who will guide the hike. As it says on the Conservancy’s website, you never quite know what to expect on the hike and even if you have been before it’s worth retreading because the leaders often take different routes based on the day and their personal knowledge.
If you have children or are elderly, you need not worry about the exertion required, as the hike is conducted at a leisurely pace so that everyone can enjoy. Nothing too strenuous.
The hike takes roughly an hour and a half, so bring along something to drink and maybe a snack. If you want one more great day before the weather gets too cold, then come on out and soak in the beautiful fall weather with the Riverwood Conservancy.
