Regardless of the time of year, the Riverwood Conservancy celebrates nature, good health, and puts on events for the entire community of Mississauga. Even though that is the case, summer is when the Riverwood Conservancy really kicks into high-gear.

In the month of July there has already been a handful of fun activities, but the upcoming event that we want to fill you in on is the Heart Healthy Hikes. “Join Zeke Holloway at the MacEwan Terrace Garden Pergola for a moderately intense hike along the trails through Riverwood.”

The first of these fun walks takes place on Monday July 16th at 9:00 AM. Everyone is encouraged to wear their best work-out attire, including suitable footwear. If you’re interested in coming along, you can register at this link, and everyone will meet at the MacEwan Terrace Garden Pergola. Meet at the garden around 8:30 and bring water with you!

If you can’t make the July 16th hike, do not fret, there are multiple hikes throughout the month! The next hikes take place on July 23rd, and two on July 30th. The next two morning hikes are guided by Zeke Holloway, whereas the evening hike on the 30th is guided by photographer Dave Taylor. These hikes are an excellent way of getting or staying fit, and it’s incredibly relaxing to boot!

If hiking isn’t your thing, Riverwood Conservancy will also be hosting an astronomy night on July 24th, and a garden tour on July 28th. So as you can see, Riverwood offers various activities that should appeal to all types of people.
