We love seeing new restaurants open here in the city. Not only because it’s good for the economy, but because we love have as many great food options as possible. Some might think it’s over-saturation but Mississauga is a food city, and the cream always rises to the top.
And today we’re going to tell you about the newest addition to the food scene, but this one is quite different and pretty cool. Mississauga’s newest restaurant looks to marry a few different foods, in a bid to get in on a very hot food trend. And it’s fitting then, that the restaurant is named The Hot Avocado.
Located at 488 Eglington Avenue West, Unit 6, The Hot Avocado immediately establishes itself as one of Mississauga’s most unique restaurants. Here’s a little about the eatery from the owners:
The Hot Avocado is a new concept restaurant offering a new take on the original shawarma. We are the first in Canada to introduce new Shawarma options including Turkey Shawarma, Sojok Sausage Shawarma, and Halloumi Cheese Shawarma. Who said Mediterranean food has to be traditional?
Avocado’s, somehow, have become the go-to food for millennial’s, be it in its base form, guacamole, on toast, or any other concoction you can possibly think of. So much so that people are divided on the fruit, with some sick of hearing about it, and others obsessed with it.
Well The Hot Avocado falls in line with the latter. The new restaurant, which looks really nice inside by the way, is offering shawarma, panini’s, wraps, sandwiches, poutines, falafaels, and sides like rice, chips, wedges, salads, and even offers catering for parties and events. All with a Mediterranean twist.
So if you’re hungry for something new, and you’re a lover of modern food fusions, then you have to try The Hot Avocado. And if you’re an angry boomer, don’t be put off by the mention of avocado, the restaurant is already getting rave reviews by everyone!
