The fine folks over at the Riverwood Conservancy aren’t letting the tumultuous weather stop you from appreciating nature, in fact they’re revelling in the diversity that winter brings.
The Riverwood Conservancy bird experts want you to join them on Wednesday January 3rd, at 12:30 PM, for an afternoon of Hot Chocolate & Wild Birds. Below is the official event description:
“Bring your children and together enjoy an indoor program, making bird treats. Then head outside to hand-feed the chickadees along the trails. Afterwards, come back inside and warm up with delicious hot chocolate. All materials will be provided. The only requirements are warm clothes, boots and adult supervision at all times.”
As the final line suggests, warm clothes is an absolute must. The weather right now is incredible cold, like painfully cold, so if you want to join the experts, you’d better make sure you anyone you’re with is wearing several layers, boots, hats, gloves, and hot chocolate will be provided.
The afternoon bird watching event is free for everyone and all ages are encouraged to come, learn something new, and enjoy nature. So head over to 4190 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga, and join the experts for some fun in the cold and a hot chocolate!
