A hot new restaurant has just opened for business along Dixie and Eglington road, and it comes from the United Arab Emirates!

Mandilicious has come to Mississauga, having locations already open in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Ras Al Khaimah – with another opening in Qatar in January – meaning this is the first such location in Canada and North America!

The restaurant opened at the tail end of October but has already amassed a 4 out of 5 stars on Google, and the same rating on TripAdvisor. The “Cuisine of Arabia” has been inspired by millennia of tradition and hospitality, and the menu is unlike anything else in Mississauga.

For starters, you can get a bowl of delicious natural yoghurt, a house salad, a mutton soup, or sahaweq, a small bowl of tomatoe and herb sauce, with coriander, chillies and mint. The main courses then are all huge dishes of various meat, nestled on a bed of rice. Whether it’s traditional chicken, mutton, kingfish, or even camel, there’s something you should try! For the vegetarians out there, there is a specific dish for you called Thareed, which is Arabian brown bread drenched in vegetable broth and layered with cooked vegetables. Beyond the main course, Mandilicious also serves some unique desserts and traditional Arabian tea, coffee, and milk, as well as regular pop and juice.

As if that didn’t sound good enough, Mandilicious even delivers the food right to your door, as well as caters for parties and events.

New restaurants are always exciting business here in Mississauga but it’s extra special when they’re the first of their kind in the entire country. So head on down to Mandilicious and you can tell your friends about the hot new restaurant!
