It has been said that no one has been able to defeat “Father Time”, and far be it for anyone of us to debate that sentiment as “Father Time” is undefeated. No “L’s” on its record and a big fat zero in its loss column. And yes, it will continue stay that way, none of us will ever change that, as all human beings will succumb to time. Now even though you won’t win the battle you may have the chance to extend the game just a little while longer.

In 2018 for those who are thought be passed the athletic prime you will get this opportunity when the Ontario Summer Games for those aged 55 and up come to Mississauga from August 10-12, 2018.

With a range of events ranging from the physical:

-Bowling (Five Pin, Carpet & Lawn)



-Floor Shuffle Board


…and more, to the leisurely:

-Card Games (Bid Euchre, Contract Bridge & Cribbage)


… there are many events and activities to be had over these three days.

In order to participate you will be required to be a member of the OSGA 55+ and must qualify at your local District Games. For information on how to become a member of the OSGA 55+ the information you need can be found here:

The District Games will be held in May & June 2018 and the winners will qualify directly to the Ontario Summer Games. You can contact your local district coordinator at the aforementioned sites for further information regarding registration.

Even for those under the age 55 you can also be a part of this event as a possible volunteer, but you have to be at least 16 years of age to do so.

The Opening Ceremonies will take place on August 10, 2018, and a Middle Entertainment Night will occur on Aug. 11.
