After a week off, due to the amazing Port Credit Busker Fest, the Rotary Club returns to Memorial Park this Friday the 24th, with the second to last movie of the year!

Holds your tears that this year’s movie season is coming to an end already, instead let us rejoice and make sure we have a great turnout for those final two flicks. And you’ll definitely want to do so, because the next two movies are epic!

This Friday, the Rotary Club brings the DC Universe’s Wonder Woman to Port Credit! Female-led superhero movies aren’t exactly common – despite the Marvel Cinematic Universe boasting 20 movies to date, not one of them is led by a female hero. This not-so-small fact made Wonder Woman a massive step-forward for the movie industry, and it was a fantastic movie to boot. Check out the trailer below:

The World War epic stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as well as Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Thewlis, and more. The movie scored an incredible 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the best reviewed superhero movies ever!

Wonder Woman makes up one third of DC’s trinity; Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. She is every bit as crucial a character as her male counterparts and a fantastic hero for children to look up to. That’s at least part of why the movie was so popular when it released last year, and her outfit was one of 2017’s biggest Halloween costumes for girls.

Wonder Woman will be shown this Friday in Port Credit’s Memorial Park, around dusk. The event is free for all but remember to bring a few chairs or a blanket, and grab some popcorn from the vendor! Enjoy the show!
