Are you a coffee lover? Are you a frequent customer of Tim Hortons? Second Cup? Starbucks? Well, maybe it’s time you tried something a little more low key, something a little more impassioned, something independent. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, you should definitely have a look for Destination Cafe in Port Credit.
“Look for” is quite an apt way to phrase things, because Destination Cafe is in fact quite a difficult place to find. It’s a coffee shop in Port Credit, located at 211-A Lakeshore Road East, which is little more than a non-distinct, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it style building. It’s a small, sandy coloured building that has nothing on the exterior to suggest it’s a coffee shop or anything else. That said, once you do step inside, you’ll want to come back for more.
The inside of the building, to be honest, isn’t much more memorable than the outside, but this is certainly a case of not judging a book by its cover. In here you’ll find top quality coffee, tea, and service.
The menu of the cafe is right beneath the counter, and it spotlights the types of coffee on offer; from Ethiopian to Peruvian, Sumerian to Haitian, Nicaraguan to Swiss, and more. Better yet, all of these types of beans are organically sourced! The roastmaster Rob C. brews the coffee himself in the basement of the building, and he’s a very friendly and knowledgeable fellow, who will be more than happy to discuss blends, beans, and preferences.
If you’re tired of the same old java options, you should definitely consider Destination Cafe, a very hidden spot in Port Credit. Destination Cafe is not a newcomer to the area, but it’s one that deserves some fresh attention.
