Port Credit’s waterfront is one of the most popular destinations in all of Mississauga, and it’s about to become even more alluring.
Posta Italbar Cucina is set to open in the near future, right where the old post office used to be, and near Snug Harbour. The new space, which can be seen above and below, is an amazing glass structure that has vastly improved the Port Credit aesthetic.
The Italian restaurant is being opened by Rocco Mastrangelo Jr and Moses Sabatino, who are responsible Cafe Diplomatico and the Fluid nightclub in downtown Toronto. These are two highly successful social joints in the city and it stands to reason that Posta will join their ranks.
The two entrepreneurs have chosen Port Credit as the location of their impressive Italian bar and restaurant because of how quickly the area is growing in size and reputation. The waterfront is a fantastic location but up until now it has only really been home to one restaurant, Snug Harbour, but that will change when Posta opens.
The restaurant will feature dine-in, take-out, express service, an appetiser bar, a wine bar, and even make their own gelato! As if that weren’t enough, Posta Italbar is also set to boast the biggest patio in all of Port Credit! The patio outside of the restaurant will have a gorgeous view of the marina, and the entire location will be able to serve up to 400 people!
The restaurant won’t open for breakfast but it will serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday’s, as well as stay open quite late for nocturnal creatures like myself.
People have been hotly anticipating the opening of the new location for months now, which will also house the new Port Credit CIBC and Post Office. There has been no official date for the opening of Posta Restaurant but the owners have been aiming for Fall, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for an official opening in the very near future!
