One of Mississauga’s most active and under-appreciated organisations is The Riverwood Conservancy.

The Conservancy is located at 4300 Riverwood Park Lane, and is described as a living laboratory. It’s an area teeming with nature and wildlife, which hosts events for the entire Mississauga community on a weekly basis. These events are always family-friendly and incredibly good ways to learn and reconnect with nature.

The next event to take place at The Riverwood Conservancy is a garden tour. The garden tours are common at Riverwood and they are an excellent opportunity to explore the area. Often, The Riverwood Conservancy’s events take place nearby, but the Conservancy is a beautiful area unto itself.

The garden tours take place at the MacEwan Terrace Garden – which you can see in the image above. The MacEwan Terrace Garden is an area overflowing with unique fauna, which the Riverwood experts will be happy to talk about in detail for those curious about gardening.

The tour will see you walk the snaking paths of the Terrace Garden, where you can find over 7000 plants, a garden pergola, seating, a viewing platform to overlook the pond, and there is iron handrails for the elderly or disabled. For those interested in taking part in the garden tour, registration can be completed here.

The MacEwan Terrace Garden tour takes place on Saturday July 28th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. It’s a perfect event for anyone interested in gardens, nature, or those seeking a relaxing weekend. The weather forecast is looking good for the weekend, so wear some comfortable clothing and bring some water.
