All Hallows Eve fast approaches once again, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say you haven’t purchased your outfit yet. Maybe you haven’t even thought about it yet!

Well, once again I’m here to make your life easier and tell you the best place you can go to find your perfect Halloween costume for 2017! Whether you want to dress as this year’s hot costumes; Wonder Woman, Donald Trump, Pennywise, or Star-Lord. Or as one of the classics; Batman, a nurse, a ghost, or Jack & Sally. Regardless of the idea, there’s somewhere in the city you can turn to!

Spirit Halloween

(199 Rathburn Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5B 4C1)

The most obvious place in the city to grab yourself some Halloween garb, is the store that only pops-up around this time every year: Spirit Halloween.

Spirit Halloween is a pretty huge store that does exactly what it says on the tin; it specialises in all things Halloween, from the costumes to the decorations and everything in between. The store sells-out fairly quick, so now is the time to get in and grab whatever it is you’re looking for. They have the most desired costumes of the year near the front, with a huge litany of other ideas throughout the store, as well as make-up, wigs, accessories and much more. No matter what you’re looking for, Spirit Halloween probably has it…for now.

Walmart

(100 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9)

The store that has everything, unsurprisingly, has a whole host of Halloween garbs and decorations.

Walmart offers a lot of costumes but they are of a lesser quality than those you might find in other stores on this list. However, the costumes are cheaper and you can also find a ton of children’s costumes, as well as make-up, accessories, candy, and everything you’ll need for partying or trick ‘r’ treating.

Party City

(5915 Rodeo Dr, Mississauga, ON L5R 4C1)

Party City is similar to Spirit Halloween but functions the entire year round. Party City also offers a wide array of Halloween costumes, as well as decorations for both inside and outside of your home.

Party City is selling some fantastic Star Wars costumes, for both boys and girls, as well as Stranger Things, The Waking Dead, Power Rangers, Baywatch, Superheroes, and much, much more.

Hot Topic

(100 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9)

Hot Topic wouldn’t be everyone’s go-to idea for Halloween costumes but the rocker-favourite store has a ton of great costumes and accessories for you to get your hands on.

The great thing about Hot Topic is that they tend to have only a handful of costumes (in-store) but they are the most popular of the year and they have every item you could possibly want. For example, last year they had Joker and Harley Quinn costumes of great quality, right down to Joker’s grill and Harley’s handbag. They offer the little details that can be hard to find elsewhere. Also, the company’s website offers a massive amount of costumes that you won’t find anywhere else, so if it’s something pop culture specific you’re after, it probably has it!

Disney Store

(100 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9)

So far we’ve primarily looked at stores that offers adult costumes and decorations, but Halloween is just as big a deal for kids.

All of you parents out there might struggle to find a good costume for your children this year but the Disney Store in Square One mall will undoubtedly have all of the best Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney movie costumes.

Shoppers Drug Mart

(321 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5H 1G9)

Shoppers Drug Mart might have you a little confused but this one is simple for the little details and the accessories you might have trouble finding elsewhere.

Shoppers will have better make-up and hair dye’s than anything you will find in the other stores on this list but you’ll obviously pay a little more too. However some DIY goes a long way; last year I went as Suicide Squad Joker and, rather than buy the poor stick-on tattoos, I bought cheap black nail polish from Shoppers and got them painted on and the result was infinitely better.

So that’s our quick list to help you find your costume for this year’s big night. Remember that the best costumes are picked early on, so you’re best getting out there asap and find what you need, and don’t be afraid to try more than one store. Happy shopping!
