The Meadowvale Town Centre just got a lot more alluring with the recent opening of a new casual restaurant.

The Social Eatery has opened its doors at 6610 Meadowvale Town Centre, right off of Winston Churchill Boulevard. As the name suggests, the new restaurant encourages mingling in a space that would look at home in downtown Toronto.

The Social Eatery boasts a brilliant white exterior that isn’t burdened by design, and the interior is similar. Less is more in the Social Eatery, with simple wooden tables, comfortable leather chairs, white walls and an exposed roof of black pipes. It’s a cool contemporary design with a big art-piece on one wall and the rest simple white brick. As far as casual restaurants go, Social Eatery has quickly become one of my favourites for it’s design.

As for the food, Social Eatery offers a pretty unique twist on a casual menu. For example, you can grab some chicken tenders they’re almond crusted and come in maple dijon and house sauce. I’m not the biggest fan of mustard but these were incredible, particularly with the hint of almond. You can also grab a in-house crafted turkey burger, fried chicken and donuts in maple chilli glaze, hand-crafted meatloaf, or a chocolate chip cheesecake cup for dessert.

The restaurant also sells draught beer, cocktails, wine, and classic bottles or cans. With great food and great beer on the menu, it’s an easy choice for a night of good eats and good fun. Not to mention the service is always timely and friendly.

The Social Eatery in the Meadowvale Plaza is open for business now and offers some incredible dishes in a cool modern setting. The restaurant already holds an impressive 4.9 stars on Facebook and is popular with locals, so why not give it a shot?
