As the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to delay events around Ontario, the Streetsville BIA decided that families should still be able to celebrate the spooktacular fun that happens on Halloween. That is why the Streetsville BIA will be hosting Streetsville’s first ever Halloween Spooktacular Kids Scavenger Hunt.

This event promises to ensure family and friends within the Streetsville area can enjoy a safe, socially distanced Halloween event. The event will be held starting from October 19 and will be ending by October 31st.

How does the Halloween Scavenger Hunt Work?

As the Scavenger Hunt sheet will be made available on the Streetsville BIA website (scavenger sheet link), both you and your little ones can scour the Streetsville area, in search of Jack-O-Lantern decals, which will be displayed in shops’ windows.Once families have found all 33 Jack-O-Lantern decals, then they can drop off their filled in scavenger hunt sheets in the Streetsville BIA mailbox (280 Queen St S) by October 31st to be entered for a chance to win 1 of 50 Halloween Treat Baskets!

These baskets are full of Halloween candies, chips, mini kids shampoo, tattoos, stickers, pencils, and many more surprises which have been donated by local Streetsville Businesses and Community Partners. The draw to announce the winners will be held after Halloween on November 2nd and the winner will be contacted by the Streetsville BIA with instructions on how they can claim their prize.

Don’t let COVID ruin your family’s Halloween fun, with this cute and unique approach to a scavenger hunt your little one can get the adventure you get during this time. Plus it will give your family a chance to safely get out of the house, while also getting the chance to explore the historical marvels in the Streetsville area. It should be a good time shared by all and a great way to also discover businesses you may not have known were within Streetsville.
