The hot weather is back, and with it, Mississauga has sprang to life! Everywhere you look there’s events taking place across the city and it’s an exciting time.
And the events continue this weekend, on Saturday June 2, as Celebration Square is hosting the 2018 Ukrainian Festival! The event returns to Mississauga for the fourth year in a row and 2018’s festival is sure to be the best yet!
The festival kicks-off at 11:00 AM and doesn’t end until 11:00 PM. You can expect an “exciting line-up of entertainment, cultural exhibits, artisan works and a refreshment garden. Bring the whole family and enjoy children’s amusement, craft programs, authentic Ukrainian food and more.”
Each year the festival showcases incredible stage shows, like dancers, music, and performances which provide some insight into Ukrainian culture, as well as a plethora of food and craft vendors, so you can try some great, authentic Ukrainian delicacies, as well as purchase some fun, handmade items that hearken back to Ukrainian tradition. The food and drinks can be found in the refreshment garden.
The Ukrainian Festival takes place on Saturday June 2, at Celebration Square, and is free for everyone, whether you’re Ukrainian or not! Every year the festival is attended by hundreds of people who share Ukrainian heritage, and those who just love a good cultural event.
