Summer may be drawing to a close but the fun and games aren’t stopping just yet! As always, 300 City Centre Drive is the place to be this week if you’re looking for something to do. So come to Celebration Square on Thursday September 20th and get involved with some great charity work!

The City of Mississauga supports United Way Centraide Canada, a charity that helps homeless people find homes, children reach their potential, and bringing neighbourhoods together. The charity is holding a fundraiser this coming Thursday, in the city centre, from 12pm to 1pm.

The fundraising walk is exclusive to the City of Mississauga staff, however there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in other ways. You can come cheer on the participants and help out with the refreshment station.

There will also be live music at Celebration Square to accompany the event. Matt Zaddy will be performing an acoustic set of original and popular music. Zaddy will be providing the soundtrack for the hour-long charity event, and he’s one of the best local talents in the city, so be sure to check him out!

The United Way’s Walk For Charity takes place this Thursday at Celebration Square. The event will go towards raising funds for the organisation. If you want to help out, you aren’t able to race but you can cheer on the city officials taking part and spend some money at the refreshment station. It’s all for a good cause! So come to Celebration Square for 12pm on Thursday!
