Good food can be hard to come by in a quarantine. We’re all running to the supermarket with our masks on, grabbing some supplies, and darting back to the car and disposing of our gloves. Shopping like that does not lend itself to tasty meals on a nightly basis, so why not order out?
Many of Mississauga’s best restaurants are still open for business, offering take-out and delivery options. We here at YourSauga love a good burger, so we thought we’d point you in the direction of a few eateries where you can order a mouth-watering burger and pick it up or have it delivered to your door.
Bobby’s Hideaway was an initial casualty of the Coronavirus, with both the Streetsville and Port Credit locations shutting their doors. However the latter location has since reopened and is serving food as usual.
Bobby’s is known for it’s breakfast food but the restaurants burgers are excellent. You can have The Mattehorn (Bobby’s burger burger covered with a slice of melted Mozzarella and topped with a mountain of mushrooms. Garnished with lettuce, tomato and onion), Slap Shot Burger (Bobby’s burger, topped with a slice of melted cheddar and two strips of bacon. Garnished with lettuce, tomato and onion), Veggie Burger (A charbroiled vegetable burger (hold the beef), garnished with lettuce, tomato and onion), or the classic Bobby’s Burger (an old fashioned burger garnished with lettuce, tomato and onion).
A&W could very well be the finest fast food establishment in Canada. The homegrown institution is still operating for drive-through and take-out, and is well worth a visit.
A&W makes the best fast food burger around, and that’s the case whether you order the Baby Burger, Teen Burger, Mama Burger, Mozza Burger, Papa Burger, or my personal favourite, the Buddy Burger. A&W also offers the great Beyond Meat option for those avoiding meat. Best of all, it’s super cheap and you can get the iconic root beer.
Solstice is one of Mississauga’s very best restaurants and it’s operating business as usual for takeout and delivery.
Solstice is a fine dining Italian restaurant with a perfectly curated menu. As such, you won’t find as many options for burgers as you will at a place like A&W, but, as they say, you get what you pay for. Solstice offers the exceptional Kobe Burger, which is 8oz US wagyu beef with brick cheese, arugula, tomato & sriracha aioli. Served with French Fries. If you want a top-tier, high-quality burger, this is your only option.
Our final choice for where to order a burger for takeout or delivery comes from a Mississauga instituion: Zet’s Restaurant.
The restaurant near the Pearson Airport has been around for many years and boasts a massive menu with all kinds of cuisines. And, of course, we wouldn’t be talking about it if the burgers weren’t up to scratch. The above picture is just one of Zet’s charbroiled burgers that come in six different varities, all of which are mouth-watering.
